  Collections

Collections store ENOVIA objects.

Collections functionality is accessed using the Clipboard/Collections button .

or, depending on the context:

Add to Collections

  1. Select items to add to a collection.

  2. Click Clipboard/Collections drop down arrow .

For this menu:

  1.  Select Add to New/Existing Collection.

Add to Collection opens in the right pane of the ENOVIA window:

  1. Select What to Add using the radio buttons.

  2. Use the Select Target pull down list to choose an existing collection for the specified items or to create A new collection.

  3. If you select an existing collection, choose whether to Append or Replace the existing collection.

or

  1. If you select A new collection, use the text box to Enter the name of the new collection:

  2. Click .

For this menu:

  1. Select New / Add to Collections.

The Select Collection window displays.

  1. Use the check boxes to select one or more existing collections, and/or select the "Enter the name for a new collection" field and type a name for the new collection.

  2. Click Done.

A confirmation message appears.

  1. Click OK.

The selected items are added to the selected existing and/or new collection(s).

Manage Collections

Collections may be viewed at any time in ENOVIA:

The Collections window provides functionality for working with collections:

 

Working in a Collection

After making a selection in the Collections window, the Content of: page displays.

Use the check boxes to select one or more item and the following menus and functions are available:

 

Grant Mass Access

Add Existing part to collection (no selection necessary)

Add material to selected object

Add Parts supporting EOSL MTMs

Add Parts to Existing EC

Add Parts to New EC

Copy object to another collection

Create an Info Tracker

Delete a Parts/Specifications/ECs, Delete a Document, or other objects

Mass Edit Material Hierarchy

Move object to another collection

Obsolete to New EC

Publish Objects to Orion

Publish Software Part

Product Configuration and Region Grid (no selection necessary; all collection prod cons added)

Remove object from collection

Revise a Part

Send Parts in a Collection to SAP Plants (Buy Only)

Update object in the Collection to show latest revision

Displays Where Used in new window
