A product's Region is captured on the Product Configuration and displayed on the Properties page:
Users may select one or more individual countries.
Users may select Worldwide (all countries).
Service Parts default to Worldwide, but the user may change the selection.
Perceptive Parts use Worldwide.
The Region appears in the Printer Material Description.
For Countries, ISO code appears.
Region drives the creation of SAP Sales Orgs. and the connection of Product Compliance Documents to countries requiring certification.
Selecting more countries than required drives unnecessary product compliance and translation costs.
Regions may be set individually when creating a Product Configuration.
Regions may be set using the Product Configuration and Region Grid Browser, accessed:
On a Product Configuration;
On a Product Model, showing all connected Product Configurations;
From a Collection that contains Product Configurations.
Product Configurations created using the Product Configuration Import Template are automatically placed in a Collection, named for the date and time.
Product Configurations require a Region setting to Promote.
