The process of gathering inspection data and reference documents and reviewing and approving the PPAP package is automated by the ENOVIA PPAP Info Tracker.
See Create an Info Tracker to get started with PPAP Info Trackers.
The Info Tracker Properties page includes fields that the Owner/Originator may edit to set the Company, PPAP Tool, PPAP Type and other attributes.
PPAP Files, such as FAI (First Article Inspection) files, are attached to the Info Tracker by the Owner/Originator or other assignees at any stage of the lifecycle.
The Info Tracker is created in the Submit state. The Owner/Originator may Add Tasks for individuals or add a workflow based on a Route Template and start the Route.
Completion of the Submit state Route may trigger automatic promotion of the Info Tracker to the Review State or simply notify the Owner/Originator of completion, depending on the Route Properties.
When creating a Route Template, set Route Completion Action to Promote Connected Object for automatic promotion.
After a Route is created -- by using Add Task, Add from Template, or on the Info Tracker Routes page -- go to the Info Tracker Routes page, select the Route, and Edit Details to set the Route Completion Action to Promote Connected Object for automatic promotion.
Review and Approved state Tasks/Routes may also be added to automate the rest of the Info Tracker lifecycle.
In the Review state, the Review Route, if set up by the Owner/Originator, automatically starts.
Completion of the Review Route may trigger automatic promotion of the Info Tracker to the final, Approved state or simply notify the Owner/Originator of completion, depending on the Route Properties (see above).
In the Approved state a route may be used to notify users of the PPAP Info Tracker completion.
The Info Tracker may be manually promoted, if Routes are not used to promote automatically.
