ECs may be terminated by:
Delete -- The EC and any content is permanently removed from ENOVIA.
Close -- The EC is discontinued but retained in ENOVIA.
Reject -- The EC is discontinued but retained in ENOVIA.

A deleted EC is permanently removed from ENOVIA.
An EC can only be deleted by the EC owner.
An EC must be in the Submit state to be deleted.
An EC in a higher state may be demoted down to Submit state to allow deletion.
Deletion of an EC with any content that might be useful in the future is not recommended. Close or Reject an EC (see below) to terminate it and retain all associated content that might be important for future reference.

Select Engineering BOM App > Engineering > My Engineering View > ECs - Owned.
Use the check boxes to select Submit state EC(s) to delete.
Click in on the page tool bar.
Select .
A warning message displays about permanent removal.
Click OK.
NOTE: If a message displays indicating you have no delete access, check the EC state. An EC in any state other than Submit cannot be deleted. Consider Closing or Rejecting (below).
Closed and Rejected ECs remain in ENOVIA for reference.
ECs may be Closed and Rejected on the EC Lifecycle page.
Only the EC owner or a member of the Review or Approval List may Close or Reject an EC.
An EC in Review or lower lifecycle state may be Closed or Rejected.
EC Affected Items must be in the Preliminary state to Close or Reject the EC.
ECs in Review state must be demoted to allow demotion of connected parts.
In most cases, demoting a Review state EC also requires deletion of the Review route.
To Close or Reject an EC:
ECs initially display the Properties page.
Click Lifecycle on the EC Category Tree.
Click Close or Reject on the page tool bar.
The Close EC or Reject EC window displays.
Enter the Reason for Closure/Rejection.
This field is required.
Click Done.
The EC is now in the Close or Reject state.
