Promote/Demote an EC
Promote/Demote an ECTo work with the EC lifecycle:
The EC owner and Responsible Assignee may promote and demote the EC in any lifecycle state.
A Supplier Engineer in the EC RDO may demote and promote in Evaluate and Implement states and may promote in Complete state.
NOTE: A
Route 
icon indicates a route must be completed for the EC
to automatically promote to the next state. See View
a Route Access & Task Sequence.
ECs initially display the EC Properties.
Use the lifecycle graphic in the Info Bar to select the next state, either forward or backward as permitted.
Or
Select Lifecycle on the EC category tree.
The Lifecycle displays at the top of the screen with the EC Lifecycle, highlighting the current state, and page tool bar buttons to Promote and Demote.
Approvals and Tasks tab displays at the bottom.
Routes are accessed on a tab next to the Approvals and Tasks tab.
On the Lifecycle
tab, click

to move the EC forward or backward
in lifecycle state.
An EC may be promoted or demoted directly on the My Engineering View > ECs pages, Project ECs page, Part ECs page, or in a Collection

Use Context Menus (Right Mouse Click) to promote/demote ECs.
Select ECs on a list page and use tool bar commands.
