PPAP Overview
PPAP OverviewPPAP is a type of Info Tracker.
PPAP stands for Production Part Approval Process and defines the method for approving production parts, either for new products or for part revisions that require manufacturing process changes.
A PPAP Info Tracker is created in the context of a part and used to gather documents, such as specifications and inspection reports, and record formal approvals.
The PPAP Info Tracker manages Routes in the Submit state to gather the required data;
PPAP Info Tracker Review state Routes manage approvals of the tooling/process once all the data is gathered and ready for review by the responsible engineers.
