The Send Part grid browser allows the user to:
Set Part / Plant Procure Values and Part Blocking for the parent and first level BOM children
NOTE: The parent part must be in the Release state to access the Send Part grid browser.
The parent part and first level BOM children make up the grid rows.
SAP plants already assigned to the parent part make up the grid columns.
Plants may not be added while working in the grid. See Assign SAP Plants.
Child parts in the BOM must be assigned SAP Plant Procure Values and Part Blocking and sent to SAP before the parent assembly may be sent.
Connect the displayed Part/BOM to Plants to assign.
Right click menu, Edit Attributes, connects and sets procure values in one step or sets procure values for already connected cells.
Mass Edit Selected sets procure values for multiple, selected cells at once.
Parts may be blocked either when they are not connected to a plant or when they are connected and have procure values set in other BOMs.
Yellow cells are connected and the procure value is printed in the cell if set, but the part has not been sent to the SAP Plant.
Green cells indicate the part has been sent to the SAP Plant and the procure value is printed in the cell.
Point the mouse at a green cell while holding the Shift key to display the Sent:: date.
Click Send to SAP on the grid browser tool bar to select plants and send the part information when procure values and part blocking are complete.
See Grid Browser Controls for information on working in the grid browser.
Select SAP Plants on the Part Category Tree.
To add Plants, see Assign SAP Plants.
Use the check boxes to select plants and click the SAP BOM button on the page tool bar.
The Send Part and 1st-level Children to SAP Grid Browser displays.
The parent part and first level BOM children are listed down the left of the grid.
Plants added on the SAP Plants page are displayed across the top of the grid.
Connect Plants to first level BOM children as required and set the appropriate SAP Plant Procure Values and Part Blocking.
When ready, proceed to Send to SAP Plants.
