Even though connections mean different things in the context of different grids, the methods for working in grid browsers are common to all.
When grid browsers have unique functions, the details are noted on the individual grid browser Help page.
View Object Details:
Hold the Shift key and hover the mouse pointer over the items to the left of the grid rows or at the top of the grid columns to view object details, such as part or person attributes.
View Connection Details:
Hold the Shift key and hover the mouse pointer over any connected cell in the grid for connection details, such as part/plant send information or person part assignments.
Not all grids display connection details in this way; the details of the connection may be either self-evident or displayed directly in the grid cell.
Open / View Object:
Shift + Click on the items to the left of the grid rows or at the top of the grid columns to open the object in a new window.
Select Cell:
Click in any grid cell to select.
Select Row:
Click on an item to the left of the grid rows to select the row.
Ctrl + Click to select multiple rows.

Multiple Selections:
Ctrl + Click to make multiple individual selections anywhere in a grid, rows, or columns.
Shift + Click to select a continuous series anywhere in a grid.
Connect Objects:
Right click in grid and select Connect.
Some grids may offer an Edit Attributes option on the right click menu. This command connects the selected grid intersection and opens a window to set connection attributes.
Click to create connections for all selected grid cells.
Disconnect Objects:
Right click on a connected cell in the grid and select Disconnect.
Click to remove connections for all selected grid cells.
In addition to simply being connected or disconnected, some grid browser connections are further defined by attributes such as SAP procure values or BOM Quantity and Usage.
Connect and Set Attributes:
Right click in grid and select Edit Attributes.
A window displays with drop down lists to set the appropriate connection attributes.
Edit Multiple Selected Connections:
Click after selecting one or more connected cells.
A window displays with drop down lists to set the appropriate attributes for the selected connections
The cells in a Grid Browser are colored coded.
Not all color codes are used in all the grid browsers.
White
A white cell at the intersection of a row and column indicates there is no connection between the object to the left of the row and the object at the top of the column.
Green
A green cell at the intersection of a row and column indicates the object to the left of the row and the object at the top of the column are connected.
In the Send Part and 1st-level Children to SAP Grid and Add SAP Plants and Send Only Parts with Buy Procures Grid, green cells indicate the part has been sent to the SAP Plant and the procure value is printed in the cell.
Yellow
A yellow cell at the intersection of a row and column indicates the object to the left of the row and the object at the top of the column are connected but some required connection attributes are not yet assigned or the connection is Pending and requires activation.
In the Send Part and 1st-level Children to SAP Grid and Add SAP Plants and Send Only Parts with Buy Procures Grid, yellow cells are connected and the procure value is printed in the cell if set, but the part has not been sent to the SAP Plant.
Red
A red cell at the intersection of a row and column indicates the object to the left of the row and the object at the top of the column are blocked.
On the SAP BOM Send Part Grid this means a BOM child part will not be sent to the blocked SAP Plant.
Blue
A blue cell at the intersection of a row and column indicates the object to the left of the row and the object at the top of the column are connected and frozen -- the relationship may not be removed or changed.
Gray
A gray cell at the intersection of a row and column indicates the object to the left of the row and the object at the top of the column may not be connected and so the grid cell is disabled.
