  Assign SAP Plants

To assign SAP Plants to multiple parts at once, see Connect Parts in a Collection to SAP Plants.

 

SAP Plant assignment is performed on the part SAP Plants page, accessed on the Part Category Tree.

 

To assign SAP Plant(s) to a part:

  1. Access the part, SAP Plants page.

  2. Click Add SAP Plant on the page tool bar.

The ENOVIA Search: Add SAP Plant window displays.

You can load a list of Saved Searches, or search for the required Plants.

With Saved Searches, you may save and retrieve commonly used lists of Plants directly.

  1. Enter search criteria for the required SAP Plants, search with wildcards ( * ) to view all plants, or click Saved Searches and select a previously saved query.

  2. Click .

The Step 2 of 2: Select Plants window displays. JDE Plant cross reference information appears in the Description column.

Note that a window with Warning :  Object find Limit ( 100 ) Reached indicates that all possible search results will NOT be displayed. In this case, if the plant you require is not displayed, narrow your search criteria.

  1. Use the check boxes to select plants.

  2. Click .

The SAP Plants tab refreshes, showing the new assigned plants.

 

The SAP Plant assignment is complete (although plants may be changed later).

 

When an EC releasing Sellable Parts is Complete, email notification is sent to the Manufacturing Engineers for the assigned SAP Plants.

 

A responsible ME must use the SAP BOM Send Part Grid to Connect BOM Children to SAP Plants, Set Part / Plant Procure Values and Part Blocking and Send to SAP.
