Dimensions Import Template

The Dimensions Import Template is an Excel spreadsheet that creates multiple rows of Product Dimensions data for one or more parts in one operation.

Product Dimensions may be added and edited in any lifecycle state using the Dimensions Import Template.
The Product Manager, Design Engineer, or SAP Admin role is required to import Product Dimensions.

The Dimensions Import Template spreadsheet has columns for part names and dimension attributes.

Once the data is entered into the template, save the file under a new name and see Product Dimensions Import Procedure to perform the import.

To import Dimensions into ENOVIA, the current Dimensions Import Template is required.

To ensure you are working with the latest version, download the template from ENOVIA each time you import Product Dimensions.

To manually enter, edit, and remove Product Dimensions (dimensions may only be removed manually):

As ENOVIA functionality evolves, the template is updated with fields for new attributes, etc.

The latest, fully functional version of the template is always available in ENOVIA.
Be sure to use the latest template version.

You may click this link, Dimensions Import Template, to open a new browser window or tab and directly access the template.
In ENOVIA you may search for "Dimensions Import Template" in the Name field or Title field.
The various import templates used in ENOVIA are in a Collection in the Collaboration and Approvals App > My Tools > Import Templates. . . .

The column headers of the Dimensions Import Template are colored coded:

All fields in the Dimensions Import Template are required.

Part name and Alternate UOM are the key identifiers for rows of Dimensions data.

Import Template entries with the same Part name and Alternate UOM of existing Product Dimensions overwrite the existing data.
Product Configurations of sellable parts have the same name as the related part.

In the spreadsheet, hover the mouse pointer over a column header for a description of the attribute.

Dimensions Attribute Fields	Description
Part	All parts: Required. Must precisely match an existing Part Name (Product Configuration names match the related part names). Part Name formats: May include a single quote (') at the beginning May not be in double quotes ("XXXXXXX") that result when parts are exported from ENOVIA
Alternate Qty	All parts: Required. Enter the Quantity for the Alternate Unit Of Measure
Alternate UOM	All parts: Required. Use the pull down list to select the Alternate Unit Of Measure
Base Qty	All parts: Required. Enter the Quantity for the Base Unit Of Measure of the part
Length (MM)	All parts: Required. Enter the Length of the part in millimeters
Width (MM)	All parts: Required. Enter the Width of the part in millimeters
Height (MM)	All parts: Required. Enter the Height of the part in millimeters
Gross Weight (KG)	All parts: Required. Enter the Gross Weight (packaged weight if packaged) of the part in kilograms
