  Cost Import Template

The Cost Import Template is an Excel spreadsheet with columns for each cost attribute that imports multiple costs in one operation.

When updating existing costs:

To import costs into ENOVIA, the current Cost Import Template is required.

Once the data is entered into the template, save the file under a new name and see Cost Import Procedure to perform the import.

As the ENOVIA functionality evolves, the template is updated with fields for new attributes, etc.

In the spreadsheet, hover the mouse pointer over a column header for a description of the attribute.

Cost Attribute fields

Description

Part Name

All costs: Required.

  • Must precisely match an existing Part Name.

  • Cannot be modified using Mass Edit on the Import Mass Part Cost form.

Part Revision

All costs: Required.

  • Must precisely match an existing Part Revision.

  • Cannot be modified using Mass Edit on the Import Mass Part Cost form.

Part Type

All costs: Required.

  • Must precisely match an existing Part Type.

  • Cannot be modified using Mass Edit on the Import Mass Part Cost form.

Cost Provider

All costs: Required.

  • Must precisely match an existing Company.

  • Enter the Company providing the cost regardless of who is creating it in ENOVIA.

Location / Subsupplier

All costs: Optional.

If populated, must precisely match an existing Location of the Cost Provider designated as an Active Costing Site or must precisely match an existing Company understood to be a subsupplier to the Cost Provider for the given part.

  • Cost Family is a special type of Location used to identify costs from a Cost Provider for a particular project.

Location Type

All costs: Required.

Location Type options:

  • Default (Create form default)

  • Alternate

A part must have one and only one Default cost. Multiple Aternate costs can be created.

Cost Value Type

All costs: Required.

Cost Value Type options:

  • Target

  • Estimate (Create form default)

  • Quoted

  • Working

  • Actual

State

All costs: Required.

State options:

  • Create (Create form default)

  • Active

Cannot be modified using Mass Edit on the Import Mass Part Cost form.

Production Make Buy Code

All costs: Required.

PMBC options:

  • Make (Create form default)

  • Buy

Include Children In Rollup

All costs: Required.

ICIR options:

  • Yes

  • No (Create form default)

If Production Make Buy Code = Buy, then ICIR must equal No.

Item Quoted Material Cost

All costs: Optional.

Item Freight Cost

All costs: Optional.

Item Labor Hours

All costs: Optional.

Item Labor Cost

All costs: Optional.

Item Variable Cost

All costs: Optional.

Item Fixed Cost

Item Adjusted Cost
