MEP Import Template

The MEP Import Template creates multiple manufacturer equivalent parts in one operation.

The MEP Import Template is an Excel spreadsheet with columns for the equivalent part attributes.

Once the data is entered into the template, save the file under a new name and see MEP Import Procedure.

To import MEPs, the current MEP Import Template is required.

To ensure you are working with the latest version, download the template from ENOVIA each time you import MEPs.

As ENOVIA functionality evolves, the template is updated with fields for new attributes, etc.

Be sure to use the latest, fully functional version of the template, which is always available in ENOVIA.

To locate and download the latest version:

You may click this link, MEP Import Template, to open a new browser window or tab and directly access the template.
In ENOVIA you may search for "MEP Import Template" in the Name field or Title field.
The various import templates used in ENOVIA are in a Collection in the Collaboration and Approvals App > My Tools > Import Templates. . . .

The column headers of the MEP Import Template are colored coded:

In the spreadsheet, hover the mouse pointer over a column header for a description of the attribute.

MEP Attribute Fields	Description
Enterprise Part Name	All parts: Required. Must precisely match an existing Part Name.
Company	All parts: Required. Choose a Supplier name from the drop-down box.
MEP Name	All parts: Optional. This value will be the name of the MEP that is going to be created.
MEP Title	All parts: Optional. This value will be the supplier part's Title attribute.
MEP Security	All parts: Optional This value sets the MEP security level. Generally, set to Public for off the shelf components and to Internal Use for all other MEPs. The default value when left blank, is Internal Use.
