Create a Tooling Part for a Part
Create a Tooling Part for a PartTooling parts are created on the Tooling page of the component part for which the tool is used.
Membership in the Non-Prefix Part Creators group is required to create tooling parts. Contact the PLM Hotline to be added.
To create a tooling part:
Access the component part that requires a new tool.
Click Tooling on the Part Category Tree.
The Tooling page displays.
Click 
on the page tool bar.
NOTE:
If the button is not displayed on the Tooling
page tool bar, call the PLM
Hotline.
The Create Part window displays.
The Type field defaults to Tooling Part.
Design
Responsibility defaults to your
default RDO, if set in Preferences.
Click the Design Responsibility
button to set or change.
Enter information for the required fields (in red Italics) and for the optional fields that apply.

Click Done.
The new tooling part is displayed on the part Tooling page.
