Replace or Remove Parts in EBOM
Replace or Remove Parts in EBOMThe EBOM PowerView provides a method for removing or replacing parts in an assembly:
To replace a part, always use one of the Replace commands instead of performing a Remove followed by an Add.
The replaced parts are connected with the Replaced By relationship.
This method requires working individually with each affected assembly.

To remove or replace a part in an EBOM:
Select EBOM PowerView on the Part Category Tree.
The EBOM PowerView displays the tab you last viewed.
Select the EBOMs tab.
Set the View drop down menu to EBOM.
Use the check boxes 
to select the components to be removed.
Click 
on the page tool bar.
Select Remove Selected, Replace with Existing, or Replace with New.
For Replace with Existing, search for the replacement part.
For Replace with New, create a new part as the replacement.
