Assign and Unassign Defining MEP

Defining MEP is required for some part Types.

These parts require a Defining MEP in Release state, with a CAD Specification and a checked in file, to promote from Preliminary to Review.
The first MEP created for these part Types is automatically set as the Defining MEP.
Additional MEPs may be created and set as the Defining MEP.

The Defining MEP attribute may be removed (Unassigned) from a MEP.

Any part may have a Defining MEP assigned.

Assign or Unassign MEP

Access a part.
Click Equivalents on the Part Category Tree.

The Equivalents page displays.

Select a MEP on the displayed list.

See Create MEP if needed.

Click and select Assign Defining MEP or Unassign Defining MEP as required, on the page tool bar.
