ENOVIA offers two types of cost reports:
Indented BOM Cost Report generates a report based on the BOM structure.
Flat BOM Cost Report lists each part and cost in the BOM only once and provides each part's total quantity as found in that BOM.
Navigate to the desired assembly part.
Access the EBOM PowerView, EBOMs or Flat BOM tab, or the Costs page of the part.
See View Part Costs.
Click on the EBOMs tab tool bar or click on the Flat BOM tab or Costs page tool bar.
Select Create Indented BOM Cost Report or Create Flat BOM Cost Report.
The Create Cost Report window displays.
Set Primary and Secondary Preferences.
To save your preferences for you or other members of your team to use in future cost roll ups and ensure direct comparisons, see Save Cost Report Criteria.
To use a previously saved set of cost report preferences, see Use Saved Cost Report Criteria.
Enter Cost Report Comments to help identify the contents of the report.
Click Done.
A confirmation message appears.
ENOVIA runs the cost report in the background and sends an email to the requestor. The subject of the email will be the part name and revision followed by the date and time the cost report was performed. The email contains a link to the report.
Click OK.
If the context part does not have a cost object matching the selected preferences, an error message displays in the Create Cost Report window.
ENOVIA generates a Cost Report, an HTML file containing the BOM structure with costs for each part based on the chosen preferences. The number of costs in the Create state and the number of BOM parts with no costs that meets the chosen preferences are noted at the top of the report.
Parts in the BOM that do not have a cost that fits the chosen preferences are listed in a separate "Error" report.
See View Cost Reports.
