BOM Copy From Grid
BOM Copy From GridThe BOM Copy From grid allows the user to copy parts from the first BOM level of the context part into BOMs of target parts.
The first level BOM children of the context part make up the grid rows.
The context, parent part is displayed as a grid column, under Selected Parts.
on the page tool bar finds additional assemblies
to include as Selected Parts grid
columns to connect as parents to the first level BOM children in the rows.
The Selected Parts grid columns are grouped by state.
Connect parts in the context BOM to Selected Parts to include in the first level of the target part BOM.

To add first level parts from one BOM into the BOMs of other parts:
Access an assembly part with BOM children.
Select EBOM PowerView on the Part Category Tree.
The EBOM PowerView displays tabs across the top of the screen.
The last tab viewed is displayed.
Select BOM Copy From if not already displayed.
The first level BOM children and their Quantity and Usage in the current assembly part are listed in the grid rows beneath the title, EBOM 1st Level.
The current part is displayed as a grid column, under Selected Parts.
The grid cells in this column are green, showing connection to the first level BOM children in each of the rows, and include Qty and Usage information.
Click on the page tool bar.
The Search Parts to Build BOMs window displays.
Enter search criteria for parent parts to receive BOM children from the current part.
Click Find in the Search Parts to Build BOMs window.
The Part Search Results window displays.
Use the check boxes 
to select target parts for the grid.
Click Select in the Search Part Results page tool bar.
The selected parts are added to the grid under Selected Parts, and are grouped by state.
If any of the added target parts are already connected to the EBOM 1st Level parts, the grid cell at their intersection is green and includes Qty and Usage.
Connect EBOM 1st Level parts to the Selected Parts to include in the first level BOM of the target part.

Connected parts are assigned the same Qty and Usage as the EBOM 1st Level parts in the context BOM.
Connected cells display Qty and Usage information.
Use the Edit button 
to change Qty
and Usage for selected connections.
Connected parts will appear in the EBOM PowerView, EBOM or Flat BOM tab, of the individual target parts.
