  Add a New File to a Document

There are two locations for adding files to documents.

Document List

When viewing a list of documents such as in a folder, specifications page, or search results, the Add New File icon, , is displayed in the Actions column.

See View a Document.

  1. Click the Add New File icon in the Actions column of the document.

The Checkin Files window displays.

  1. Click the button to search and select files on your computer.

A File Upload window displays.

  1. Find and select the file you wish to upload.

  2. Click the button in the File Upload window.

The file path displays in the first row of the File | Format column of the Checkin Files window.

  1. Enter Comments for the first file as needed.

  2. Repeat file selection to include more files at once.

  3. Click to upload the selected file(s) to the document.

The document list refreshes.

The padlock column for each document indicates the total number of files.

Document Files Page

On the Files page of a document:

See View a Document.

  1. Click on the page tool bar.

  2. Select Add New File . . . .

The Checkin Files window displays.

  1. Click the button to search and select files on your computer.

A File Upload window displays.

  1. Find and select the file you wish to upload.

  2. Click the button in the File Upload window.

The file path displays in the first row of the File | Format column of the Checkin Files window.

  1. Enter Comments for the first file as needed.

  2. Repeat file selection to include more files at once.

  3. Click to upload the selected file(s) to the document.

A file is uploaded to the document.

The Files page re-displays showing the new file.
