Routes & Tasks

  Start a Route

If a Route is created with role based Assignees, it does not start automatically:

To start a Route:

  1. Access the context object (EC, InfoTracker, etc.) of the Route.

  2. Click Lifecycle on the category  tree.

The object Lifecycle page displays.

Approvals/Tasks display at the bottom of the Lifecycle page.

  1. Click the Not Started link in the Route Status column of any Task listed for the current lifecycle state of the context object.

All Tasks listed with Submit in the State column are part of the same Route, and so any Not Started link may be used to start the Route.

DO NOT click the Not Started link for future lifecycle state Tasks, such as the Review state Tasks/Route; this route starts automatically upon completion of the first route.

The Start Route window displays.

  1. Click OK in the Start Route window.

The Approvals/Tasks tab refreshes showing the first Order Task(s) created, assigned, and Awaiting Approval.

These first Assignees receive email notification.
