  Assign Disposition Codes

For a Single EC, Affected Items Page, Affected Items View

1. Access the EC.

ECs initially display the EC Properties.

2. Select Affected Items on the category tree.

3. Select the Affected Items View.

4. Click on the page tool bar.

Requested Change is NOT edited with the Disposition Codes. See Requested Change.

5. Select Edit All Disposition Codes.

The Edit All Disposition Codes window displays columns for each Disposition Code with a pull down list to set values.

You may enter text directly in the Reason for Change field.

6. Work in the Edit All Disposition Codes window:

1. Use the check boxes to select which parts to edit.

2. Use the Column drop down list on the page tool bar to select a column for data entry.

3. Use the Value field to select a data value or enter data for the selected column.

4. Click or as needed.

And / Or

1. Use the drop down lists and text fields to directly set the values in these fields.

7. Click Done when you have finished editing.

For a Single EC, Affected Items Page, Disposition Codes View

1. Access the EC.

ECs initially display the EC Properties.

2. Select Affected Items on the category tree.

See Attach Parts to EC for more information.

3. Set the View to Disposition Codes.

4. To work with all Disposition Codes, for all the EC parts at once:

1. Click the Enter Edit Mode button on the page tool bar, second row.

2.  All the Disposition Code fields display drop down lists of the available codes.

3. Use the drop down lists to set the Disposition Codes.

4. Click the Read Mode button to disable editing and commit all the changes made to the Disposition Codes.

And / Or

4. To work with single Disposition Codes for all the EC parts:

1. Click the Edit icon in the header column next to the Disposition Code name to edit.

The Mass Edit panel displays on the right of the page.

The Column of the icon that was clicked is selected by default, but may be changed using the Column drop down list.

2. Use the Column, New Value, and Apply To: drop down lists to set the Disposition Codes.

Use the check boxes to select which parts to edit or make no selections for Apply to: All.

Part selections may be changed while working in the Mass Edit panel.

The Keep Selection check box may be used to continue working with the same set of selected parts after Saving the changes to the currently selected Column. Otherwise selections are cleared when the setting for a Column is Saved.

3. Click to commit the change.

4. Continue working in the Mass Edit window with other columns or click in the Mass Edit panel to close.

For Multiple ECs, Project ECs page

The Project ECs page allows the viewing and editing of Disposition Codes for all the ECs in a given project:

1. Access a project.

2. Select ECs on the project category tree.

3. Use the View drop down menu on the page tool bar to select Disposition Codes.

4. Click to expand an EC and display the Affected Items with Disposition Codes,

Or

Click to zoom to a particular EC and expand the Affected Items with Disposition Codes.

Or

Click in the page tool bar to Expand All and display all Affected Items with Disposition Codes under each EC in the project,

5. To Mass Edit a single Disposition Code column for all displayed parts or selected parts, click in a column header:

1. Select parts as needed

2. In the Mass Edit panel on the right, use the Column, New Value, and Apply To pull down lists to make selections.

3. Click and the page refreshes to show the new values.

4. Repeat as necessary.

And / Or

5. To directly set individual values, click on the page tool bar to enter Edit Mode.

The Disposition Code columns display drop down lists and/or editable text fields for each part that you are able to edit.

1. Use the drop down lists and text fields to directly set values.

2. Click to exit Edit Mode and commit any changes.
