Create CAD Specification
Create CAD SpecificationWhen a part is created, only mechanical part types automatically generate a CAD Specification.
Other part types do not automatically have CAD specifications created because they do not always require them. Therefore, if needed, these types of parts must have the CAD Specification added manually.
The part owner can create CAD Specifications for a part:
Select Specifications in the Part Category Tree.
Click 
on the page tool bar.
Select Create CAD . . . .
The Create CAD Specification window appears.
Use the Type drop down list to select CAD Spec or CAD Derived.
Enter a Description as needed.
Click Done.
The part Specifications page displays the new specification.
