CAD Specifications are ENOVIA documents used to contain files that define the physical, geometric characteristics of the connected parts.
The containers are automatically created for mechanical parts and new revisions, but may be attached to other part types.
The two types of CAD document containers are both accessible on the part Specifications page.
Only one of each container may exist for a part/part revision.

NOTE: Each time a part is revised, it is automatically connected to the latest revision of its specifications.
The lifecycle of development parts and development specifications are the same.
The state of the part and its CAD specifications are always the same.
The lifecycle of production parts and production specifications are the same.
The state of the part will never be more advanced than the state of its CAD specifications.
When promoting a production part, CAD specifications are automatically promoted.
However, CAD specifications can be promoted ahead of a production part.
