EBOM Effectivity Reports
EBOM Effectivity ReportsEffectivity reports allow you to look back in time at previous configurations of Assembly parts.
Effectivity reports require working with the plan of record for a part; the parts must be in the Complete or Release states.
You can set effectivity dates and create EBOM multi-level effectivity reports to capture a snapshot of an EBOM at a specific point in time.
A Compare EBOM on Effectivity Report allows the comparison of any two EBOMs based on their respective effectivity dates.
Select the EBOM PowerView on the Part Category Tree.
The EBOM PowerView displays the tab you last viewed.
Select the EBOMs tab.
Click 
on the page tool bar.
Select Effectivity Report to generate a report for a single point in time.
The Engineering Effectivity Report window displays.
Enter Effectivity Date and time (in hours and minutes) or select Effective Now check box.
NOTE: You will receive an error if you select a time before the part was actually created. View part History on the category tree to capture meaningful time frames.
Click Done.
The Engineering Effectivity Report displays.
Select the EBOM PowerView on the Part Category Tree.
The EBOM PowerView displays the tab you last viewed.
Select the EBOMs tab.
Click on the page tool bar.
Select Compare EBOM on Effectivity.
This report is only shown when working with a part revision in Release state.
The EBOM Comparison on Effectivity Date dialog window displays.
Enter the first Effectivity Date and Time.
To compare a different part or a different revision of the same part, change the default entries in the Part or Revision fields.
Enter the second Effectivity Date and Time.
Or click Effective Now to compare to a snapshot at the current time.
Click Next.
The Step 3 of 3: Select Options window displays.
Select a Compare By option.
Find Number, Reference Designator, or Part Name.
Select Sections options (as many as apply).
Click Done.
The EBOM Comparison Report displays.
