Tool Bar Search is used by typing in the text box at the right of the global tool bar (see ENOVIA Application Window) and pressing ENTER on the keyboard.
Searches with wild cards are permitted.
To search for the intersection (AND) of multiple terms, separate with a space.
Example: to find all ECs in the Cherokee project, enter: Cherokee EC
The Tool Bar Search overlays the window from which you launched the search
While the Search Results are displayed, the ENOVIA Top Bar controls are disabled.
Click the X in the right corner of the Search Results to return to the contents of the current window and use the top bar controls.
The results include everything related to the criteria you enter.
There is no limit on the number of results.
The search results display in the Navigation View.
Navigation View shows the search results in the main part of the window with a column of Types and Attributes that apply to the search results on the left.
Click on an item on the left to filter the search results by the additional Type or Attribute.
You may continue to select items on the left to further narrow the results.
Clicking an Attribute opens a panel with a text field and a list of available choices from which to select.
Start typing in the test field to narrow the listed choices.
Click to select.
Use SHIFT or CONTROL keys for multiple selections.
Click the check mark icon to filter by the choices.
Click the X icon to close without applying.
Click the X by the applied criteria at the top of the left column selected criteria and show results without that filter.
Click to clear all of the filters on the original results.
Enter text in the Search Refinement field and click to start a new search.
