Search Conventions
|
Wild Card |
The asterisk is the wild card symbol (*). It represents one or more characters not specifically identified in the search string, enabling you to search for multiple objects (Parts, ECs, etc.) with a single definition, or to search using only a partial name.
For example,

|
Question Mark |
A question mark holds the place of a single character. For example, enter seven question marks in a search/find field (???????), and ENOVIA returns results with exactly seven characters. If you do not know the number of characters, consider using the wild card (*). | ||||||
|
Comma
|
A comma can be used to search for multiple criteria at one time, such as part numbers. Do NOT use spaces between the comma and search criteria. For example: 1100459,1100856,1100845 |
If you do not specify an attribute, leave the value blank or use the wild card (*). ENOVIA will return all possible results.
If you specify a search with more than one attribute, ENOVIA will search for objects that meet all of them; that is, it will perform an AND operation, rather than an OR operation.
Search criteria conventions can be used in combination with each other.
