ENOVIA Compass and App Panel
ENOVIA Compass and App PanelThe ENOVIA Compass accesses apps to view common objects for your system roles.
Apps contain and organize the data and functions.
The
top (north) of the ENOVIA Compass, 
, is called My
Social and Collaborative Apps and is currently the only section
used by Lexmark.
The left side panel displays apps, for accessing and working with your objects and other items in ENOVIA.
Most of the time, the App Panel displays the currently selected app.
When the Compass is selected, the Compass Panel displays for working with and selecting apps.
Click the top (north) of the ENOVIA Compass, , called My
Social and Collaborative Apps, to display the Compass Panel, with
areas for:
My Roles / Profile that are necessary to access to the various apps;
My Favorite Apps, to store links to the apps you most frequently use;
My Social and Collaborative Apps, which lists all the apps available to you with the selected Roles -- including many that are not currently used at Lexmark:
Roles selected here determine which apps appear, below, for you to use.
Once selected these Roles persist and should never require any further interaction.
Roles in this context do not relate to project roles or system roles that determine user capabilities.
When you first log in to ENOVIA these roles must be selected in order for you to use the apps that organize and display your data:
Click anywhere on My Roles / Profile to expand.
A check mark will appear above the silhouette for any active roles.
Select Roles with the chevron “>” to the right of the silhouette, as shown above.
The chevron “>” to the right of a silhouette indicates that based on your system licenses, ther are apps available to me when this role is active.
Once selected, a check mark appears to show which roles are active.
There are many apps in the My Social and Collaborative Apps section.
Most of these are not currently used by Lexmark.
The My Favorite Apps area allows you to collect the apps you use for easy access.
My Favorite Apps is expanded by default, with the other areas of the App Panel collapsed, for ease of access.
The only functional apps are:
Classify & Reuse (Libraries users only)
Click anywhere on My Social and Collaborative Apps to expand.
This area of the app panel displays all the apps associated with the currently selected Roles/ Profile.
If you do not see an app that you need, check My Roles / Profile, above, to be certain the appropriate roles are selected.
Click and hold an app.
Drag and drop in My Favorite Apps.
Be certain to wait for My Favorite Apps to expand if needed and display a green drop zone. Release the app over this green drop zone.
Click and hold an app.
Drag and drop in the Remove App area just below the ENOVIA Compass.
Be certain to wait for the Remove App area be highlighted in red as you hold the app over it, before releasing the app.
This area of the app panel displays all the apps associated with the currently selected Roles/ Profile.
If you do not see an app that you need, check My Roles / Profile, above, to be certain the appropriate roles are selected.
Many of the apps displayed are not used at Lexmark.
We recommend adding the apps that you will use to the My Favorite Apps, as described above.
The only functional apps are:
